Acting on secret information Police arrested two accused persons and produced them in court today who were involved in snatching cash Rs. 43,670 from by assaulting staff of Bandhan Bank on gun point on February 2 from Bagma Police Outpost area.
Sources said that police arrested the two accused persons from Bhaluga area under Birganj Police Station yesterday. They are Rabi Bikash Chakma of Bangladesh and Prabhat Hari Jamatia of Bhaluga.
Police produced both the accused at CJM Court of Gomati District today. Hearing the case Justice Dharmendu Das ordered both for 6 days jail remand. Besides T.I. Parade will be held on February 18 to identify the two accused. APP Dilip Dey and T. Marak handled the case in favour of State Government.
Sources said that Rabi Bikash Chakma was also got punishment earlier in connection of snatching money earlier and Pratap Hari Jamatia was a member of a terrorist group. The continued misconduct after coming back in normal life by surrendering before the administration.
