Tripura Sports School Football team today left for Delhi to take part in the upcoming Subrata Mukherjee Cup Football tournament which will start from September 9 at the national capital New Delhi. The primary moto of the players will be to play well in the tournament and also gather tons of experience from the tournament as this year the team has been formed with lots of fresh and junior footballers for this national tournament.
Before their departure today Coach Abu Taher said,” Only two footballers (Biswajit Debbarma and Sanjay Jamatia) in the current team have the experience to play in this type of tournament and in this regard it will be tough for the others to express themselves well in their first tournament.
But still I believe that each and every footballer of the team has the fighting ability and as per my opinion all the players will give their one hundred percent.”
He also said that,” Our main aim will be towards the next year of this tournament as the experience which will be gathered by the play this year will undoubtedly help them in the next year.”
Tripura will reach at the destination on September 6 and under the leadership of Sabat Jamtia the team will do two days of practice there.
Most probably Tripura will play their opening match on September 9. Head master Bikash Ranjan Das and Sports Officer Swapan Saha wished all the footballers for the very best to perform well in the tournament.
