Tripura on back foot in rain affected opening day

AGARTALA:

Tripura Under 23 team remained at the back foot in the rain affected opening day against Chattishgarh Under 23 team in the three day practice match.

At BSP field today at the end of day one Tripura made 30 for the loss of 2 wickets from 16.2 overs. Tripura won the toss and elected to bat first but lost Captain Samrat Sutradhar for a duck early as he went out playing a poor shot. Batting at no 3 Joy Kishan also went out for just 1.

After 16.2 overs heavy rain suddenly stopped the match as no more further play was possible. Mithun Debbarma remained unbeaten on 21 while Subham Ghosh stayed not out on 4.

Anupam Tappu and S Morta of the opposition picked up 1 wicket each. Now all eyes will be on the remaining batsmen as if they fail to stay in the wicket then Chattisgarh will take lead for surely just like they did in the opening match.
