Tripura in good position against Chhattisgarh in 2nd practice match

Tripura senior team has been placed is in a good position against Chhattisgarh in their second practice match before the start of new Ranji season. At the end of day two today Tripura made 494 for the loss of 8 wickets.

At SVNS field in Raipur the batsmen simply dominated the bowling attack of the opposition and scored big in their first innings. Samrat Sinha, Rajesh Banik, Bishal Ghosh and Gurinder Singh scored half centuries each and put their team in a strong position in the match.

Tripura started day two from the overnight score of 195/2 and started to play positively. Overnight batsman Samrat Sinha went out after scoring 82 while after that Smit Patel and Yashpal Singh went out cheaply. From that moment Rajesh Banik got good support from Gurinder Singh and put on a good partnership.

Rajesh went out after scoring 74 runs while Gurinder Singh scored 63 runs. At the end of day two Tripura made 494 for the loss of 8 wickets from 117 overs. Sourav Das remained unbeaten on 33 from 30 balls.
