The Tripura along with Manipur and Meghalaya on Monday celebrated its 47th statehood day. Series of programmes are organised across the state to mark the day. However, the main programme took place at Agartala Rabindra Bhawan on Monday. Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki has inaugurated the programme in presence of the Chief Minister Biplab Deb and others.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing the gathering of the common masses at Agartala Rabindra Bhawan recounted the achievement of BJO-IPFT government during the 9 months of the government, which unseated Left front government on March 2018.
“Education and health is the top most priority of this government as this is the key to our mission of building this state as a model state,” adding to this he said that the government has been focusing on quality education by introducing NCERT curriculum from this academic session.
Deb said that the Centre has sanctioned proposal of setting up 10 Eklavya Model Schools in tribal belts of this state. "Eight more Eklavya Model Schools will be sanctioned for Tripura very shortly.”
“On the health sector, the present government is trying to invite the private parties to indulge in rendering better and multi-speciality health service to the people of this state and neighbouring Bangladesh,” Deb said today. He also said, “Ever since the BJP-IPFT government has come to power in this state, the law and order situation is improved and Crime again women has been reduced by eight percent during the last nine months”
However, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Revenue Minister NC Debbarma, Chief Secretary LK Gupta and DGP AK Sukla remained present in the programme.
