An association in the name of “TRIPURA CHESS CLUB” has been constituted by some of the parents of Chess Players of Tripura with a vision to develop the game of Chess in the state.
Addressing a press meet on Tuesday at Agartala Press club the members of the Tripura chess club have officially announced the formation of the organization to develop Chess in state.
As a part of the activities Tripura chess club has decided to organize an All Tripura Open Prize Money Chess Tournament at Tripura Student’s Health Home, on October 28 and 29.
However, the association have also raised several demands which includes to expand the system for playing chess is state, to introduce chess at the school level, to organize chess Olympiad among the school and the college level, to felicitated the popular chess player in the state, to organize at least’s one chess competition every month along with a total of 11 activities Tripura Chess Club held a press meet at press club.
