The Tripura on Friday celebrated Holi – the festival of colours amidst the preparation for counting of crucial polls. People of different age groups smeared colours on each other and especially among their family members and friends today to celebrate the festival.
Large number of youths today thronged the city streets with their family and friends playing Holi. Securities were tightened up to maintain the law and order situation especially looking forward the counting of polls at Agartala Umakanta school ground on Saturday.
Besides the border guards of both India and Bangladesh today celebrated the festival with the Border Security Forces (BSF) Jawans and the Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) exchanging sweets and greetings among themselves at Agartala Akhaura Integrated Check Post.
