The Tripura along with the other states in the nation is celebrating the Bengali's biggest festival of Durga puja amid impending threat and communal violence in the state. Most of the puja pandals were opened from Tuesday in the day of Maha Sashthi where the devotees were witnessed to have thronged the pandals on Tuesday night.
According to the police source like every year this year too tight securities have been deployed to restrict untoward incidents.
Amid the impending threat and communal clashes in and around the state the police administration has taken up some extra initiatives by deploying additional forces across the state and especially in the bordering areas, said police today.
However, the 5 days long festival has kicked from Tuesday actually with the capital town of Agartala and other parts of the state has been lightened up to attract devotees.
Besides, the traffic police have also taken all necessary measures to restrict road mishaps during this festive season.
