Tripura cabinet decides to take on unruly auto-rickshaw drivers strict

AGARTALA:

As the report of the auto rickshaw drivers in the state carrying maximum passengers getting high necked despite the direction of the high court, the cabinet meeting on Friday chaired by the chief minister Biplab kumar deb has decided to look into the matter strictly.

Cabinet Minister Pranajit Singha Roy addressing the media after the meeting informed that the government has directed the police administration to take legal steps against the unruly drivers of the auto-rickshaw who are not abide the by the rules.

He also said, “The trend of carrying maximum passengers and taking maximum fare despite the High Court’s direction shall be stopped soon as the department shall take on the unruly auto-drivers strict enough.”

Mr. Roy was addressing the media at the civil secretariat conference hall. The cabinet on Friday also took up series of issues.
