The people who come to stay at Tribal Rest House of Kailashahar at night are deprived of proper service due to absence of care taker at the House. At the same time the rest house is suffering from deplorable condition due to lack of publicity.
The Tribal Welfare minister of the new State Government inaugurated the Tribal Rest House by unveiling foundation stone. An amount of Rs. 40 was determined for the BPL people and Rs.100 was determined for common people of tribal section as lodging charge of the Rest House for one night. Although the BPL and common people tribal section have no idea about the Rest House.
A handful of guests got service of the rest house after inauguration of the House on May 5. But the Rest House failed to provide service of staying at low cost the needy tribal people due to lack of planning who come for treatment or to get legal service at Kailashahar from different parts of Unakoti district.
Now the Rest House is standing to increase beauty of the town hanging the sign board on it. None of the administration is speaking clearly about the reason behind the present condition whether the Rest House is suffering for financial crisis or due to lack of proper planning.
However Tribal Welfare Officer Rupak Bhattacharjee said that proposal had been sent to Tribal Welfare department to appoint care taker.
