Indigenous people of Dhalai are hoping for change in their socio-economic conditions after AICC announced Pradyot Kishor Debbarma as Chief of Tripura Pradesh Congress.
Disgruntled former IPFT leader and chairman of newly formed Manch of Indigeneous people, Krishna Kumar Debbarma hailed appointment of Pradyut Kishor as PCC chief and said, “With Pradyot Kishore at the helm of Congress, a considerable portion of indigenous people will inclined towards Congress”, Krishna Kumar said.
He further said, we are expecting development of the state will become possible by the new president. We were along with him before getting the charge of president and Dhalai District committee of IPFT is still with him after being inducted as president of State Congress.
Meanwhile Dhalai District president of Congress Manik Chandra Deb said,
“High Command has done which the leadership thinks well. I am still working for the party and I will work more. Earlier Pradyot Kishore was Executive president of Congress. He had also a position in the party in AICC. So there is no matter of happiness for appointing him as president. We have been working for Congress and we will continue work in future.”
