Former teacher of Srinath Vidyaniketan Prafulla Acharjee died yesterday. He was 87 at the time of death.
Former students of Srinath Vidyaniketan and Khowai branch of Tripura Yadab Mahasabha expressed deep mourn on death of most popular teacher Prafulla Acharjee. He was survived by his one son, four daughters and wife. Besides he left behind innumerable former and present students, friends and relatives. He completed B.A. with Sanskrit from Brindaban College of Habiganj at Bangladesh. He completed Honours in Sanskrit from Kolkata University.
He used to teach Sanskrit, Bengali and English and earned huge popularity among students.
He introduced the festivals like Krishna Janamstami and Harinam Yagna Mohotsav in Khowai.
