In a drive to ensure free and fair election the state administration in presence of Rapid Action Forces has removed flags and festoon of different political parties encroached in a government land here at the capital town of Agartala on Saturday. This perhaps has come in accordance to the direction of the election commission of India.
In a prior notice to all political parties, the state administrative staffs lead by the DM Milind Ramteke and SP West Abhijeet saptarshi on Saturday removed flags and festoons of different political parties encroached in government lands. The drive was carried out in accordance to the direction of election of India ensuring free and fair election, said the SP West Abhijeet Saptarshi.
Meantime The DM West Milind ramteke who lead state administration in the drive informed that as per the Tripura state prevention and defacement act the unauthorised flags and banners are being removed. He also said that the drive is carried out in presence of RAF to grow confident among the voters to vote independently.
However, during the all party meeting on Friday the political parties were directed to remove their flags and festoon encroached in government lands, failing which the state administration has carried out removal of those unauthorised party banners.
