For the first time ever, Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman inaugurated special surgery camps on the campus of Agartala Government Medical College, GBP hospital on Saturday.
Health Minister stated that department took the initiative of arranging special camps for surgeries in four disciplines on the second Saturday of every month to ease the sufferings of patients who are compelled to leave the state for even simple surgeries.
Altogether, nine operation theatres (OTs) - four for general surgery, two each for orthopedics and gynecology and one for ENT - will be there.
The full team of doctors, surgeons and nurses of respective departments attended the camp.
In presence of Doctors and Nurses, Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman visited the GBP hospital premises and talked to the doctors, patients and the family member of the patients.
