For the first time Sanhati Saradotsav Committee is going to organize Durgapuja of big budget at Kailashahar this year. The decision of Sabajanin Puja was taken at a meeting of Sanhati Sadatsav Committee and three panchayats of Chandipur.
The budget of the puja committee is Rs. 30 lakh this year. Artist of Nabadwip Goutam Majumder is building the imaginary temple. MLA Bhagaban Das will inaugurate the temple on the evening of Maha Sashthi Puja. The theme of the puja is “Amra Manabikatay” which denotes “we patronize humanity”.
Anna Bhog will be organized for the devotees of the locality on the day of Saptami, Astami and Navami. The arrangement of anna bhog will be made for 10,000 to 15,000 people. Besides, colourful cultural programme will be organized by the local artists in the evening in the days of puja till Navami.
The puja committee will also organize Swachcha Bharat Abhijan, blood donation, cloth distribution as a part of social programme. The blood donors will also get the facility of testing their blood group. The Secretary of the Puja Committee Nilmani Das said, fruits will be distributed among the patients of the hospital on the occasion.
