Sangha Sanhati Mancha organizes Durga Carnival

AGARTALA:

With an aim to unite the entire Southern region of Agartala City, Southern Range Sangha Sanhati Mancha today organized a mega carnival of Durga Idols in presence of MLA Asish Saha and MLA Ram Prasad Paul.

While addressing in the function both the MLAs opined that this attempt is undoubtedly an innovative one to retain the lost glory of the city.

Altogether, 20 to 22 idols of the relevant clubs were settled in a queue and were flagged of to perform the immersion at Dashamighat by both the MLAs and Tripura University Registrar In-charge Shanit Debroy.

Notably, though Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was scheduled to flag of the carnival he somehow failed to attend the function due to his busy timetable.
