After returning to her home land yesterday, Nistha Chakraborty who won Silver and Bronze medal in the recently concluded Asian Kickboxing tournament at Turkmenistan meet up with Sahid Choudhury, Sports Minister today at the residence of minister. Her coach Pinaki Chakraborty also there with Nistha.
Nistha handed over the medals to Sahid Choudhury as her looked very much delighted on her achievement. Both of them discussed in several aspects for long time. Sports minister looked so much delighted as he clearly mentioned that winning two medals from Asian event in not an easy task.
He also said that at Turkmenistan, Nistha not only made the whole nation proud as with this performance her native land Tripura also came into limelight. Besides this Sahid Choudhury also said that this is just the beginning for what she is looking for as she has to go far and have to perform well.
He clearly mentioned that with this win Nistha’s responsibility also increase as she have to take proper training to win gold medal from the upcoming international event. Nistha also looked determined to win medal from next event as for this she will start hard and soul practice from the next week onward.
In the recently concluded Asian Event total 16 teams tool part where India finished at the seventh position. On the other hand Coach Pinaki said that Nistha have to decrease her weight as in the upcoming Indoor Asian games she has to play in Under 60 kg section instead of Under 65 kg.
