Rating Chess Tournament: Arunika make cracking start

AGARTALA:

Arunika Ghosh made a cracking start in the ongoing Nitai Ghosh memorial prize money rating chess tournament at Jalpaiguri.

In the first round of the tournament today Arunika played draw with Manoj Das of Assam. Currently studying in the seventh standard at Sri Krishna Mission School, Arunika Ghosh started to play today with white pawn in London System.

With 28 moves Arunika stopped Manoj. Matrix chess academy owner cum Coach Prasenjit Datta congratulated Arunika for this brilliant start in the tournament.

On the other hand another chess player of the state Abhigyan Ghosh who played with fever today lost in the opening round against Ashok Sen (1547) of Bengal.
