Tripura has been placed in a strong group in the upcoming new season of Ranji Trophy cricket tournament as they have been placed in Group ‘C’ in the tournament.
Tripura has been placed in Group C along with Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Baroda. 28 teams have been divided in 4 groups.
Group A comprises of Karnataka, Delhi, Assam, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Uttar Pradesh and Railway.
Group B comprises of Jharkhand, Gujarat, Kerala, Saurashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir.
Group D comprises of Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, Punjab, Bengal, Services, Goa and Chhattisgarh.
Notably the groups has been aligned this year after the observing the performances of the teams for the last three years.
