Ranji Trophy Cricket Tournament: Udiyan Bose scores brilliant

Udiyan Bose scored his second ton in Ranji trophy cricket tournament but rest of the batsmen failed in the fourth and last day of the ongoing Ranji trophy cricket tournament match of Tripura against Odisha. The first three days have been washed out due to rain as on the last day Tripura declared their first innings on 194/8 and in reply Odisha made 18/1. The match ended in a draw as both the teams got 1 point each.

First two day of the match at Bikash stadium in Odisha washed out without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain while yesterday only two overs have been bowled. On the last day today Udiyan Bose scored a brilliant ton and led Tripura to a score of 194/8 while in reply at the end of the match Odisha scored 18/1. This was his second hundred in the Ranji trophy tournament while scored his 14 overall centuries in career. Last year he scored ton against Services.

Tripura started the last day from their overnight score of 6/0. Openers Bishal Ghosh and Udiyan Bose put on 49 runs between them before Bishal went out after scoring 18 runs. Rajesh Banik today failed as he went out for just 1 run while Smit Kumar Patel also went out cheaply for just 4 runs. Falling wickets at one end did not make any impact on Udiyan’s play as he continued to play his role and also scoring runs very quickly in this process.

Yashpal Singh (20) added 83 runs with Udiyan Bose for the fourth wicket. In between Udiyan completed his second ton in Ranji trophy cricket tournament. On his individual score of 104 from 151 balls with 14 fours and 5 sixes, Udiyan went out. Tripura declared their first innings on 194/8. Dhiraj Singh picked up 5 wickets. In reply at the end Odisha made 18/1. Manisankar Murasingh picked up the only wicket. The match thus ended up in draw as both the teams got 1 point each.
