Four day match of the ongoing Ranji trophy cricket tournament between Tripura and Baroda today ended up in a draw at Reliance cricket stadium in Vadodara. Baroda scored 521 runs in their first innings while Tripura made 436 runs in their first innings. In their second innings Baroda made 85/6 today and after that both the captains decided to end the match. Due to 85 runs first innings lead by Baroda, they will finish with 3 points while Tripura got 1 point.
Tripura today got the chance to take the first innings lead but Smit Patel got less support today and they have been bundled out with 85 runs short. Smit Patel scored a superb 158 runs while lower down the order Gurinder Singh made 34 runs today. In the second innings Tripura bowled superbly and picked up 6 wickets quickly. Among this Abhijit Sarkar picked up 5 wickets for just 18 runs. Tripura will play their fifth match against Andhra Pradesh from Nov 9-12.
Tripura started the last day from their overnight score of 327/4 but overnight batsman Rajat Dey went early after making 22 runs while Manisankar Murasingh followed soon after making just 13. Smit Patel in the meantime completed his 150 mark and went out after making 158 from 325 balls with 24 fours and 1 six. In the end Tripura bundled out for 436 runs. Gurinder Singh made 34. Baroda in the end in their second innings scored 85/6. Abhijit Sarkar picked up 5 wickets.
