Ranji Trophy Cricket Tournament: Baroda puts huge 521 runs in 1st inngs

Baroda put on a huge 521 runs in their first innings today against Tripura in the ongoing Ranji trophy cricket tournament. At Reliance cricket stadium the order batsmen batted superbly to posted a score beyond 500+.

At the end of day two Tripura made 63 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Day three will be crucial for Tripura batsmen as they need to bat very much well to avoid the follow on otherwise another defeat is on the cart for Tripura.

Baroda today started day two from their overnight score of 304/5 and added further 217 runs. A Seth remained unbeaten on 95 while wicket keeper batsman M G Patel scored brilliant 76 runs. While S S Mangalorkar made 35 from just 46 balls with 6 fours. From 152.2 overs Baroda made 521. Among the bowlers Ajoy Sarkar picked up 3 wickets.

In reply Tripura made 63/1. Opener Samrat Sinha went out after scoring 41 from 68 balls with 6 fours. Bishal Ghosh remained unbeaten on 19 while Udiyan Bose remained unbeaten on 0.
