Ranji Trophy Cricket Tournament: Andhra scores 402 in first innings

As per the expectation visiting team Andhra Pradesh put on a huge 402 runs on the scoreboard in their first innings against the host Tripura today in the ongoing Ranji Trophy cricket tournament match. At MBB Stadium today at the end of day two host Tripura made 68 for the loss of 1 wicket. Samrat Singha and Udiyan Bose remained unbeaten as they need to bat well on day three as Tripura is trailing by 334 runs.

In compare to yesterday Tripura bowlers bowled with accurate length and picked up the rest 8 wickets by giving away just 150 runs. The best achievement of the day came for Abhijit Sarkar who picked up 5 wicket haul. Today Abhijit bowled with superb line and length and picked up both the overnight batsmen before wrapping up the tale. There have been no major partnership today for Andhra Pradesh and thus they made 402.

In the morning today Andhra resumed their innings on 252/2 as Rickey Bhui soon completed his half century. The duo of Rickey and Prasanth Kumar added further 37 runs today before Rickey went out after scoring 74 from 172 balls with 8 fours. For the third wicket both the batsmen added crucial 158 runs. Centurion opener Prasanth Kumar did not last long today as he went out soon after making 133 from 322 balls with 17 boundaries.  

Andhra Pradesh then lost wickets at regular intervals and from 144 overs the whole team bundled out for 402 runs. Lower down the order Ashwin Hebbar made crucial 43 runs. Among the bowlers Abhijit Sarkar picked up 5 wickets while Rana Datta picked up 2 wickets. In reply at the end of day 2 Tripura made 68/1. Samrat Singha on 33 and Udiyan Bose on 16 remained unbeaten. Bishal Ghosh went out after scoring just 11 runs.
