Prize Money Football Event: Rabindra Sangha lifts title

UDAIPUR:

Rabindra Sangha displayed some outstanding football and lifted the title of the ongoing Prize money football tournament organized by the initiative of Tripura Football association. In the final match of the tournament yesterday Rabindra Sangha defeated Kaintabari Play center in the tie breaker by 4-2 as the match was played at KBI field.

From the start of the match both the teams played similar kind of football but failed to score goals in the stipulated time and also in the extra time. Thus the match went towards tie breaker where 4 goals for Rabindra Sangha have been scored by Amar Jamatia, Bir Narayan Jamatia, Bikash jamatia and Rakesh Jamatia while their goal keeper also played a key part.

Kailash Jamatia was the referee of the match. Biswajit Deb of the winning team has got the player of the match award while Vidyacharan Jamatia of Kaintabari won the player of the tournament award. While Hiten Jamatia of Palatana Play center won the best goalkeeper’s award in the tournament. Apart from this 8 former footballers of the subdivision also being felicitated.

MLA Madhab Saha handed over the cheque of Rs 10,000 along with beautiful trophy to the winning Rabindra Sangha team while TFA President Subrata Debbarma handed over the runners up trophy and a cheque of Rs 8,000 to Kaintabari Play center team. On the other hand thorough out the tournament the presence of spectators was outstanding as the repetition was seen in the final too.
