Police arrest one with fake currency in Rs. 500 denomination

AGARTALA:

Based on the secret inputs, the East Agartala police on Thursday arrested one in allegation of distributing fake notes of Rs. 500.  It is to be mentioned here that the accused in past two days buyed stuffs from a wine shop by paying fake notes of Rs. 500.

The wine shop owner developed suspicious while counting cash and later immediately informed the police. Based on the information provided by the wine shop owner, police have placed a trap and have successfully arrested the accused.

On noticing a police party, he tried to flee but was chased and arrested," the officer said.  Police have also recovered the 5 notes of Rs. 500 total amount to Rs. 2500 from the wine shop owner.

Police is further investigating the case.
