PM Modi assures of full support to newly formed BJP govt. in Tripura

AGARTALA:

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi who earlier during his election campaign in Tripura has promised of flying to Agartala after BJP forms its government, today attended the swearing in ceremony of the BJP's newly elected council of ministers at Agartala Assam Rifles ground.

While addressing the mass gathering at the ground PM Modi assured of full support from the centre to the new BJP government in Tripura.

"Along with other Northeastern states, development in Tripura shall be taken to its new height," adding to this PM Modi said, "The Northeastern state’s of Tripura has many potentials and opportunities that needs to be explored."

He said, "The government at the centre has been constantly working with a 'Mantra' of co-operative federalism and good governance, which shall be carried out here in Tripura also."

"As the BJP has formed its government in Tripura, a new door of development has been opened now with which the state shall be taken to its new height," PM Modi said today after the swearing in ceremony.

The prime minister said that the new government will take along every citizen and all sections of society and work for the development of Tripura.

Saying that the present government at the centre has given top most priority to the Northeastern states of the country, PM Modi reminds, "Unlike other Prime Ministers of the country, I have personally visited the NE states over 25 times just to apprise the people of this region that India is with Northeast population."

The swearing-in ceremony held at the Assam Rifles ground was attended by BJP chief Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, senior BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.

Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states - Vijay Rupani (Gujarat), Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh), Sarbananda Sonowal (Assam), Raghubar Das (Jharkhand) besides others also attended the function.

However, Biplab Kumar Deb took oath as chief minister, Jishnu Deb Burman, who belings to the Tripura's royal family took oath as the deputy chief minister along with seven other ministers, including IPFT chief N C Debbarma.

The first BJP government in the state assumed charge after ending 25 year rule of the Left Front.
