The Palatana OTPC power plant considered to the biggest power source of the state and others has gone for annual maintenance resulting its two giant turbines to shut down for at least 11 days. Besides, the ONGC here has also put its gas pipelines dry due to its maintenance purpose, said official source.
The official source added that the power service would be cut down from Saturday for at least 11 days.
Besides, the TSECL official sources said that to maintain regular power service in the state, the government is planning to procure additional power from other parts of the region.
Besides, power minister Manik Dey today said that the state is currently getting 250 MW of power from both the projects of Palatana OTPC plant and similar MW of power is getting procured from other states here to maintain regular power supply.
