With the Women’s cricket tournament, brand new cricketing season of Santirbazar cricket association will start from December 12. This year the tournament will be held with 7 teams.
The decision has been made in the executive committee meeting of the association which has been held yesterday. All the matches of Women’s cricket tournament will be held at Baikhora, Kanchannagar and Santirbazar field. Apart from the women’s cricket tournament, association also announced the time table for the other tournament for the season.
Under 12 cricket tournament will start from December 15, Under 14 cricket tournament will start from December 25, T20 cricket tournament will start from January 10, Challenger trophy cricket tournament will start from January 15, Under 16 Inter School Cricket tournament will start from January 20 and Under 17 cricket tournament will start from the second week of February.
In the under 12 tournament cricketers born after September 1, 2005 and in the under 14 tournament cricketers born after September 1, 2003 will be eligible to take part. As per the decision taken at the meeting all the expenses of the women cricket team will be provided by the association. Santirbazar cricket association secretary Bidhan Sarkar announced the news.
