National Under 9 Chess Event: three chess players shine

AGARTALA:

3 chess players performed well while Baishali Debnath lost in the eighth round today of the ongoing National Under 9 Chess tournament at Gurgaon.

Abhigyan Ghosh (1062) who got rating recently played draw with Arnab Srivastav (1187) of Madhya Pradesh. Playing with white pawn Abhigyan played a draw with 59 moves.

Another chess player Abhinab Roy played draw with Rohan M K (1226) of Tamil Nadu. In the last three rounds Abhinab played well to stop rated chess players.

Both Abhigyan Ghosh and Abhinab Roy have 4.5 points each after the end of eight rounds.

Today Soursih Debnath defeated Ami Goyal of Chandigarh and has 4 points. While Baishali Debnath lost to chess player of Gujarat as she has 3 points till now. The ninth round matches will be held tomorrow.
