Tripura Paralympic swimmers got huge success in the ongoing National Paralympics tournament which came to an end today at Maharana Pratap Khelgaon Swimming Pool at Udaipur in Rajasthan.
In this tournament Tripura won total 6 medals which included 4 gold medals. Among the 4 gold medals 3 have been won by Samir Barman. Samir Barman won gold medal in 50 meter and 100 meter breaststroke while also won another gold medal in 100 meter free style.
In the Sub Junior category Binit Roy Ghosh won gold medal in 100 meter breast stroke. On the other hand Saptarshi Paul won silver medal in 100 meter breast stroke while in the same 100 meter breast stroke he won bronze medal.
Tripura Coach Dipak Das said that the players performed brilliantly in the tournament as this success will boost the confident level to perform better in future. Also Sports Minister Sahid Choudhury expressed his happiness and congratulated the players for their immense success.
