Yesterday it was the day for Abhishek Lagardo of Sepahijala district as he won Gold medal while today fastest sprinter of North East Madhumita Deb won Gold medal in the ongoing 15th National inter District Athletics tournament.
Today was the last day of the tournament at Andhra Pradesh as on the last day Madhumita won gold medal in Under 16 Girl’s 200 meter sprint. She took only 26.28 seconds time to secure the first place in the list.
On her success Coach Bikalpa Rudra Paul looked very much happy and said that in the last Junior athletics tournament Madhumita missed the gold medal by fraction of seconds but in this tournament she simply put storm in the track and grabbed the desire gold medal.
Madhumita Deb also looked very much delighted after this success as she admitted that this medal will help her to runs faster in the coming days also. With this Tripura won two gold medals in the tournament.
