Mungiakami Girl’s Team leaves for SM Cup Football

AGARTALA:

In between huge tension, Mungiakami School Girl’s footballers today left for Delhi to take part in Subrata Mukherjee Cup Football tournament which will start at the national capital from September 5. Teliamura Mungiakami School will represent Tripura in the Girl’s team in the tournament.

But before their departure several obstacles have been came as the earlier tickets of the players have been canceled due to heavy rain at Bihar while today also after their arrival at the railway station the team came to know that the train service has been canceled due to rain in the sudden parts of their journey.

Hearing the news Coach Haripurna Jamatia made contact with Secretary of State School Sports Board Dhirendra Choudhury and after his assurance the team left for the tournament. First of all they will arrive at Silchar and from there on they will go to Guwahati and from that station Tripura will take Delhi train.

If all goes well then this team will arrive at the national capital on September 4 under the leadership of Rupa Debbarma. The final fixture is yet to unveil but as per the news Tripura will play their opening match on September 7. For this tournament coach looked very much positive and has faith on the players.

But he also said that though the forward is strong but the side back will be a weak link in the tournament but still he believes that the players will play their best in the tournament. This team did all kind necessary preparations for the last one month. Headmaster Manoj Debbbarma also wished the players for success.
