More than 100 bills remain pending under Unakoti Dist Admin

KAILASHAHAR:

Unakoti District administration is suffering from financial crisis at the end of financial year. Meanwhile calculation of receipt and expenditure is going on in a hurried manner in the administration.

Bills of more than Rs. 20 lakh has been stranded including different works and order supply. Lack of fund is the reason behind nonpayment. As a result more than 100 contractors and businessmen are not getting payment of legal bill who were involved with construction and different supply items.

Financial crisis is going on in the administration during last 4 to 5 months.

Recently two businessmen got the reply “no fund” after communicating establish section, account section for third time. The staff in charge said that the fund would be processed after getting fund. At present at least 10 thick files are spreading on the table.

Allegation raised that works done at two sectors urgently without tender. But the contractor failed to get bill after three months.
