IPFT leader and Tribal Welfare minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia hinted about friendly contest with coalition partner BJP at East Tripura Lok sabha constituency. The final decision on candidate selection will be taken at the Central Committee Meeting of the party on March 17.
Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia said this to media after a meeting of IPFT at Chinibagan of Kailashahar.
During interaction with media Jamatia said, meanwhile meeting held between BJP and IPFT on distribution of seat in two phases. But the meetings ended without any decision. Referring another meeting will be held with BJP he said, Central Committee meeting of IPFT will be held on March 16 and 17.
Meanwhile BJP proposed about friendly contest with at East Tripura constituency if both the coalition partners fail the reach any amicable solution. However IPFT authority proposed that the party could contest in both the seats.
