Matrix Chess Academy opens at Agartala today

AGARTALA:

Matrix Chess Academy Agartala Branch has been inaugurated today by Tripura Chess association Patron Manas Debbarman and Prabodh Ranjan Datta, Father of famous chess player of the state Prasenjit Datta. The academy has been opened at Ker Choumuhani as regarding this huge enthusiasm has been seen among the chess players and their parents. On the very first day total 20 chess players enrolled their names at the academy. From tomorrow the training will start in three categories.

Till October 4 those who have joined the academy will be trained by only Fide Master Chess player from Tripura Prasenjit Datta. At the press conference Prasenjit said that his dream come true with the inauguration of this academy as Prasenjit already became popular with his academy at Delhi. Youngest Grand master of the country Baivab Sari and Arian Chopra are the students of Prasenjit as now he is eyeing to bring grand master from his own state also. He believes that this academy will help the players.

At the academy in Agartala the players will be trained by Rajdip Das of Assam and Bapi Deb of Tripura while Prasenjit will come frequently to train the players of the state. State association Patron Manas Debbarman said that professional mentality arrived at Tripura as the players will be benefited by this academy. The main objective of this academy will be to put the professionalism among the chess players of the state. State chess association Joint Secretary Anju Sarkar also believes that to improve chess in Tripura professional coach like Prasenjit is needed.
