Collection of puja subscription by force after stopping vehicles is going on at full swing at some puja pandals of Dharmanagar subdivision in spite of change in power of the state.
Sources said that some clubs are collecting subscription from stranded vehicles although police administration banned the collection of subscription by stopping vehicles at everywhere.
Madhya Shahar Sarbajanin Durgapuja Committee is in top of the list among the forced collectors of subscription from vehicles. Any car or e- rickshaw gets danger sign when it passes nearby the club.
Meanwhile a lorry loaded by brittle nut faced the endangered situation when it was passing by the road. The puja organizers demanded huge amount of subscription by stopping the lorry. The lorry driver along with entered at the club area as he denied to pay the amount.
However the driver saved his life by fleeing from the area and took shelter at Dharmanagar Police Station. On being informed a large contingent of police arrived at the spot to release the lorry. But it became troublesome to release the lorry from the miscreants. At last police settled an amount. The lorry driver succeeded to release the lorry by paying the amount.
It is mentionable here that the club was being executed by the instruction of Left Front District secretary Amitabha Dutta during the period of Left Front. But the situation remained the same in spite of change in power.
