Labourers of MNREGA are boiling with resentment at Dhupibandh and Lalcherra areas of Yubaraj nagar Block as they have not received payment after working under the Panchayat.
Sources said that leveling of soil started at 3 Kani land of Ranadhir Chandar Dey on December 27, 2018. An amount of Rs. 1,94,523 allotted for the work. But the work stopped after working 12 days till January 7 in 2019. An allegation raised against President of BJP led Panchayat Gouri Das Pal GRS as they suspended work by force.
The complainer Randhir Dey said, the work order was issued for three lands. One land owner was Ranadhir Dey and other land owners were Ranu Deb and Rajib Deb. Ranadhir Dey, said that the authority wanted to put sign board without working for three lands. But the authority stopped the work when the complainers prevented them to put sign board.
Sources said that only Rs. 835 entered in the account of two workers after work of 12 days and most of the 35 labours have not received their payment after 12 days work.
