The Northeastern states of Tripura to soon have its first radio taxi cab service at its capital city Agartala. A private based Jugnoo company is readied to ply its 24 X 7 radio taxi primarily in the capital town and later in rest of the parts of this state. A meeting chaired by the transport minister Pranajit Singha Roy was held at the civil secretariat on July 23 in this regard.

Like Ola and Uber, the Chandigarh based Jugnoo Company has been plying its cab through mobile app booking in 45 other small states like Tripura.
The Tripura government has recently send the proposal of plying radio taxi with the law department to get through into the norms and formulas of the company which has earlier applied to start its service in Tripura.
According to the official input, once the things falls in right track, the metered Jugnoo cab service shall start primarily at the places like Agartala airport road, Hapania, Donbosco, Khayerpur and Akhaura land port road. Later on its second phase, the rent cab service shall cover other parts of the state.
However, once the Jugnoo cab service starts, the passengers can take the AC facilities on board in all the 4 wheelers vehicle. The cab service also includes three wheelers like CNG auto-rickshaw.
