Directorate secondary education on October 15 last directed DDOs of all the districts to release GPF and earned leave allowances of the teachers who were sacked in pursuant of a Supreme Court ruling on December 2017.
The order undersigned by Directorate of Secondary Education Uttam Kumar Chakma however emerged as a matter of big-worry among the teachers unanimously known as 10,323, ahead of the Supreme Court next hearing on the petition seeking extension on Wednesday among the teachers unanimously known as 10,323.
The order also stated that GPF balance at credit and payment of cash equivalent of leave salary for the days earned leave at credit may be granted to such teachers to fulfill the provisions of TSCS (Leave) rules.
Meanwhile, All Tripura 10323 Teachers Association secretary Uttam Kumar Dey while speaking to the newsman informed that the department has issued this order to fulfill the legal regulations.
“Our present job has no resemblance with the previous one. And in order to beg off legal obligations the department has taken the decision” he said.
While asked about the security of their present job, He argued, the government is trying heart and soul to secure our jobs craving extension but whenever it goes to the Court no one could predict the judgment but we are hopeful of a positive ruling on Wednesday.
