After suffering prolonged illness former chairman of Teliamura Municipal Council Sajal Kumar Dey died today. He was 62 at the time of death. He survived by his two sons and wife and left behind many admirers and relatives.
He was suffering from Liver Siroccos and the disease was detected before few days when he went for treatment at Asian Institute of Gastrology Hospital in Hyderabad. Observing his condition the doctors sent him back to home as they had nothing to do at last stage. At last he died at his house at 6:10 a.m. today. On being informed the workers of BJP and CPI-M rushed to his house and large number people gathered there to pay their last tribute.
In personal life he was humble, liberal and faithful in communist ideology.
He was like a son of home to all sections of people irrespective of Left and Right. He was fond of social service. The traditional Sabamayee Kali Mandir constructed at Joynagar of Teliamura due to his earnest effort. During last ride his body was taken to Sarbamayee Kali Mandir.
Later Late Chairperson was taken to Bulet Club, CPI-M Divisional office and Teliamura Municipal Council Office one by one. The local leaders and workers offered their tribute at CPM office.
Chief Whip of State Assembly Kalyani Roy, Chairperson of TMC Nitin Saha offered their tribute at TMC office. Expressing her deep morn to the family members MLA Roy said, local people lost their real guardian and his demise is an irreparable loss.
