Former students of KBI will celebrate 115th Foundation Day of the school on February 23 and 24. On the occasion a grand Re-union programme will be organized on both the days. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma will inaugurate the reunion programme on February 23.
The former students of the school Jaypal Saha, Amit Podder, Soumik Chakraborty and others announced this at a press conference at KBI today.
Announcing the different events of Reunion programme they further said, on the occasion a Sit and Draw competition among the students of different groups will be organized today.
Referring a change in the scheduled programme they said that colourful rally would not be organized on February 20 as 44 CRPF Jawans became martyr. Instead of that a silent rally will be organized on same day. Besides, a procession will be held on February 23. The re-union programme will begin 8 a.m. and Deputy Chief Minister will inaugurate it at 3 p.m.
Among others former student and present Tourism minister Pranajit Sinha Roy, MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh, MLA Ratan Chakaraborty will attend the programme. Besides, former student Utpalendu Bikash Saha, former MLA Madhab Saha will remain present on the occasion.
A conference of former students will be organized at 11 a.m. on February 24. On the occasion eminent cultural troop ‘Bhoomi Band’ will perform programme in the evening. The organizers sought cooperation of present and former students and people of Udaipur to make the programme successful.
