Former Footballer Krishna Sarkar inaugurates First Division Football

AGARTALA:

First division league football tournament organized by Tripura Football association has been inaugurated today at Umakanta mini stadium.

The tournament has been kicked off by former footballer Krishna Sarkar as he kicked the match ball to inaugurate the tournament. Also the association flag has been hoisted by the President of Tripura Football association Subrata Debbarma.

Among the others Tripura Sports Council secretary Dilip Chakraborty, Secretary of Tripura Football association Dipen Ghosh remained present and met with the players before the start of the match.

For the development of football here business organization Tata Progressive Foundation extended their helping hands and on behalf of the association a cheque of Rs 2 lakh has been handed over to Secretary Dipen Ghosh.

In the opening match today Nine Bullets defeated Tripura Police by a minimum margin of 1-0. Mizo footballer Jacob scored the only and winning goal for Bullets in the 34th minute of the match.
