Durga Puja, the greatest of all festival observed in the state went to a nearly end all the way in a very eye-catching religious fervor. The Puja which was however predicted with a fiasco of harsh weather did not left the hoppers disappointed, offering a clean and healthy weather for the hoppers.
Since the Sasthi Puja, the people partaken in the usual Puja throng, though this year almost no Puja Pandal tried to stride the queues lengthy putting handles before the entrance but still the crowd was noticeable.
Moreover, the Puja was also extensively special in the sense as devotees were provided with holly “Prasad”. Most of the organizers this year felicitated devotees with offerings; some mentionable attempts were made by clubs like Red Lotus, Maharaj Ganj Bazar vegitable Merchant Association and fewer of the city suburbs, given more stress on distribution of Prasad and well appreciated by the hoppers.
In terms of Puja Mandaps, this year the city had offered an escalating endeavor to the devotees. All the big-ticket Puja organizers pushing their spirit to continuity decorated the city with the finest attempts ever made like every year.
In one hand, Big-budget Puja organizers like Bharat Ratna Sangha to Deshabandhu Chittaranjan club retained their repute with huge depictions like Combodia based oldest Hindu temple to royal mansion of “Mahesmati” screened at the Bahubali movie; on the other comparatively small organizers like Prantik Club and Nabadiganta club portrayed innovative ideas like women empowerment and bamboo-based traditional decorations. And the throng was equally distributed in each of the Puja Mandap depicting innovative ideas worth praising.
One Sarmistha Dhar Sarkar of Jolaibari who was roaming at Agartala on Nabami Night said, this year Puja is something worth experiencing rather than hopping pandal to pandal. Each of the Pandal has portrayed unique venture. Each of the pandal has unique theme and it is a pleasing Puja adventure in all the way.
It is also worthy to be mentioned here, various organizations having both political and non-political background served the hoppers with drinking water and relevant services aiding the organizers and the administration.
Meanwhile, with the Vijayadashami being observed yesterday, a number of Puja organizers except fewer notable ones, immersion of Devi Durga’s idol also started in the Dashamighat. Even today many clubs immersed the clay-made idol accompanied with huge crowd pouring in the Dashamighat area. But the big-budget pandals are still open for hoppers arriving from remote areas and will be immersed on the day before Laxmi Puja i.e Tuesday. Moreover, Dushera is also observed in various parts of the state including Agartala, Santirbazar and Belonia with sound organizing followed by immersion of the idols.
