In a tactical strike, Tripura Pradesh Congress president Pradyot Kishore Debbarman today blamed the state government for being not capable of providing security arrangements to the resident physicians.
Speaking to the media persons at his residence, the PCC president claimed, even after the direction of the Health Minister the law enforcement machinery did not take any noticeable step. It does indicate that the miscreants who are involved in the incident, are being protected by some political force or something akin to this, he added.
“I am in constant touch with Dr. Kaushik Chakraborty and thus I know everything regarding the matter. The accused should be punished under exemplary punishment so that no one can dare to do such in near future. But, unfortunately the doctors were compelled to stage protest for justice” he claimed.
In order to prevent such incidents, Pradyot opined, the entire political spectrum should made criminal-free. The problem behind the disengagement of young people in politics lays on increasing penetration of criminals in the politics, he added.
Speaking on the issue of elections he said, the elections were not at all satisfactory in terms of the Congress. Large-scale vehement intimidations coupled with absence of security forces offered the BJP sheltered hooligans a conductive atmosphere to act according to their wish.
The TPCC president who was speaking at the sidelines of a joining programme held at his residence also said, a team of TPCC comprises of Congress candidate Subal Bhwomik and senior vice-president Pijush Biswas flown to Delhi. The team today along with senior AICC leaders went to Election Commission. All that happened here would be apprised before the Election Commission. Our leaders would also demand for strict actions against the RO and CEO, he added.
Notably, he welcomed altogether 40 families from the IPFT party who joined the Congress under Youth IPFT leader Sohel Debbarma. Sohel, while addressing the media persons expressed his dissatisfaction over IPFT leaders and extended his support towards Pradyot---“Bubagra” on his own words.
