All rain affected roads of rural areas would be repaired on the basis of priority, said Panchayat minister Manik Dey at a review meeting held at Pragna Bhavan today. He said, carrying on work will not be a problem as rainy season ended completely. Among others Sabhadhipati of Zila Parishads, chairmans of Panchayat Samitis and BACs and officers of Panchayats were present in the meeting.
During meeting the minister also reviewed connectivity of roads, electrification and different development works of different panchayats. Meanwhile the public representatives and officers raised different problems for implementation of different works. The minister said that worst condition of roads of rural areas by incessant rain would be repaired on the basis of priority. He instructed the officers of PWD to talk with officers of NBCC immediately.
During meeting it was found that power connection has not been provided to remote 309 hamlets of the state. Panchayat minister said that Central Government has launched a new project named Soubhagya for electrification. DPR will be prepared for that project. He instructed the panchayats and village committees to prepare list of hamlets which have got power connection partially and completely. He also instructed to discuss the subjects of the meeting calling meeting at village level within November 23. He stressed on to fast completion of all development works.
During meeting the minister released a booklet named ‘Amra Agiye Chalchi’ and a folder ‘Amra Kothay Chilam Kothay Asechi’ with elaborate description of different government projects and comparison of development of the state with that of 1972.
