Condition of Kherengjuri Senior Basic School reduced into deplorable condition due to negligence of In-charge, teachers and School Development Committee.
The doors, windows and roof of the school may collapse at any time as pieces of plasters are falling down.
The toilets of the school went out of order as those were not repaired in due time. Even the door of the toilets reached such an endangered condition that a boy of class – VII injured by the iron sheet of toilet door and he is now in bed ridden condition.
Besides, many doors, roof of classrooms reached in endangered condition while all the ceiling fans of the school went out of order.
Meanwhile 40 to 50 students are consuming mid-day meal regularly while about 80 students attend the school regularly. So the local people raised question on quality of food. Besides, excess food is being thrown in drain which spreading odor and polluting the environment of the school.
A teacher of the school tried to attack local people and media as they protested against the unhygienic condition of the school.
