Death of girl at Special Training, 5 suspended temporarily

DHARMANAGAR:

Situation of Kadamtala Residential Special Training Centre became tensed on death of an 11 years old girl student of the centre due to negligence of the authority on last night.

Sources said that girl student Sadhana Tanti (11) who was seriously ill in last night found dead in the morning today. Observing her condition caretaker Sudipta Nath shifted her to Kadamtala Hospital late in the morning. But Dr. Sanjay Das declared that Sadhana died before two and half to three hours. The doctors could have tried to save her life if the girl brought at 6 a.m.

According to sources Sadhana Tanti and hers sister daughter of Pramesh Tanti from Kailashahar started to stay here since February 28, 2018. Both the sisters have no relation with their father. Earlier Sadhana used to work at houses of people at Dharmanagar. She joined girls’ hostel with her sister from 9 years age. Sanjay and Sudipta Nath Sharma engaged in the hostel as care taker.

Sadhana started moaning due her intolerable stomach pain from last night. Immediately her younger sister rushed there but she failed to decide what to do. At last she informed Sanjay and he called Sudipta. But Sudipta slept even after observing serious condition of Sadhana at 3 a.m. The younger sister also slept later on.

In the morning everyone found Sadhana had no response in her body. Then she was shifted to Kadamtala Hospital which is 30 Meter away from the hostel. Examining her body the doctor announced that she died before three hours. On being informed Headmaster Arabinda Deb, School Inspector Sujit Rudra Pal, Deputy Director Barun Das, BDO, SDPO and Additional SDM rushed to the spot.

Meanwhile local people gheraoed the officials in protest of arrival of police after two hours of the incident. They also raised allegation against headmaster of morning section who is involved with many illegal activities in the hostel. At last the IS Sujit Rudra Pal temporarily suspended female supervisor, special female trainer, two male guards and two female cooks under pressure.
