CPI-M blames BJP of 'destabilizing' election process; BJP hopes Govt. formation on March 3

AGARTALA:

Just after the announcement of poll schedule for the Northeastern states of Tripura on Thursday noon, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which is emerging as the biggest defeat for the ruling CPI-M and its 25 years Left rule in the state has welcoming the poll declaration has blamed the communists in Tripura and felt, “The people of the state are desperately looking for change and want development, which can be delivered only by a BJP government.”

This has come up while the BJP state President Biplab Deb was addressing media at the party headquarter today after the poll declaration.

“On March 3 the BJP shall form the next government here in Tripura for the welfare of the people of this state,” adding Deb said, “The 25 years ‘misrule’ of the Left front government shall be ousted forever in this state.”

Meantime welcoming the poll declaration by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the CPI-M leader (Senior) Khagen Das while addressing Live at social media today said, “Though poll declaration within right time, the BJP has tried to defer the poll by playing conspiracy against the CPI-M here.”

“Few people who was once in congress has played the same conspiracy in the BJP now issuing the false voters which was baseless,” adding Das said, “The BJP has also tried to bring in the President’s rule in the poll bound Tripura to defer the assembly election.”

He said, “The CPI-M has always wanted free and fair election but the BJP has been trying to destabilize the entire election process.”

However, Tripura is the only state other than Kerala where the CPM-led Left Front is in power. The party is battling anti-incumbency in what is seen as the first multi-cornered contest in the state, which includes Congress and newer political players like the BJP and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC).
