Tripura’s political scenario seems to get heated up with day to day emerging clashes between CPI-M and BJP workers. Political riot in Manu, Chailengta, Kumarghat and other places have triggered serious tension across the state.
Meanwhile, the death of a BJP worker Nishikanta Chakma who was allegedly left seriously injured during BJP-CPI (M) clash few days back at Chhailengta under Dhalai District has triggered much more controversies.
Major clash between the workers of both the party on Wednesday night killed two and left at least four injured. The incident took at Longtarai Valley of Dhalai district where four BJP workers were allegedly assaulted and one among them was died when CPM cadres ganged upon them in Chhailengta that night which also left one CPI-M supporter dead.
The deceased are identified as Babul Majumder of CPI-M and Nishikant Chakma of BJP was shifted to GB hospital, but died on Tuesday morning.
Reportedly, turbulence triggered when a CPI-M supporter Raju Mani Chakma and a BJP supporter Upendra Reang were discussing about the IPFT’s protest row and with difference in opinions scuffle broke out between them and many others also got engaged in the scuffle.
However, later huge police was deployed in the area where many including police personals and 4 supporters were left seriously injured and one CPI-M supporter died.
