Congress calls 2018-19 FY tabled budget as 'Jhumla Budget'

The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday called the 2018-19 fiscal year budget tabled by the Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma during the first day of the assembly session as the Jhumla Budget and slammed the BJP-IPFT government.

Senior congress leader and MLA Gopal Roy while calling a press conference said that the budget of BJP-IPFT coalition government depressed the people of the state as it is unable to provide any relief during the time of high inflation.

Meantime, while the BJP government had already announced for financial assistance to the flood victims of the state, the unaware congress on Thursday demanded the BJP government of providing financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs to the victims whose houses were collapsed during the flood and Rs. 50,000 to the victims whose houses were partly damaged.
